Pilomatrixom in an HIV Patient - Presentation of an Unusual Case

Pilomatrixom is a rare benign tumor, which originates from the matrix of the hair follicle, which is more common during childhood. Multiple pilomatrixom form is rarer and more in people with HIV, their presence is associated with systemic syndromes, such as myotonic dystrophy. The definitive diagnosis is histopathological pilomatrixom, although additional studies such as ultrasound are useful to confirm the same. The curative treatment is surgical resection of the lesion, with Iow recurrence rate. A case of a male 50 years old patient with HIV was presented, diagnosed with unusual clinical features pilomatrixom occurs: rapid growth and multiple form.
