By definition, supernumerary teeth are eumorphic supernumerary teeth, resembling normal teeth. Supplementary teeth are less common than dysmorphic supernumerary teeth and are often overlooked due to their normal shape and size. Supernumerary teeth can erupt normally, remain impacted, erupt inverted, or present an abnormal eruption, although failure to erupt is the most frequent event. Complications that may arise include aesthetic problems, delayed eruption, and crowding; therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are required. Treatment involves extracting the supernumerary tooth to correct any disturbances it may have caused. The aim of this study is to present the case of a child, whose panoramic radiograph reveals a supernumerary tooth, which is then extracted to subsequently address the issue of dental malposition it had caused through interceptive treatment.
