Bolivia has 166 researchers per million inhabitants, totaling just 1,826 people dedicated to research. In total, Bolivia invests 8.7% of its GDP (37.51 billion) in education, but only 0.3% in research and development. The disparities are glaring, and little can be accomplished without genuine commitment from all parties. Therefore, the Universidad Privada del Valle must play a leading role in all these changes, and this journal must rise to the challenge.
