We present the case of a patient with a 4 cm colloid thyroid cyst with favorable evolution after the intralesional application of alcohol, with a 90% reduction in volume at 6 months of follow-up. Ultrasound-guided absolute alcohol ablation has been recommended as a useful strategy in the treatment of benign and symptomatic cystic or predominantly cystic thyroid nodules, proving to be an effective and safe technique.
