Abstract

The aim of this paper is to promote research, analysis and intervention of Architecture and Urbanism students towards the rural populated centers from the studies carried out from the products obtained in different workshops and subjects of the degree. This same product means a contribution to the development of rural communities in the Municipality of Sucre; since, as a result qualitative and quantitative information will be obtained for the generation of an updated database that corresponds to the socio-economic context of the sector. It is important to note that the analysis approaches follow the fundamental guidelines of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) outlined by the United Nations (UN) for the New Urban Agenda.

The methodological approach of this research is qualitative in relation to the fact that a large part of it arises from data obtained from observation and interpretation. However, to reach the result, quantitative indicators were also taken that nourish and strengthen the value of the present study.

Obviously, within the conclusions, some elements to be strengthened of this new and not so widely used intervention approach in the rural area are recognized; but, on the other hand, it is important to mention the new demands and the restructuring of the architectural processing that involves much more interaction of the student with the project and brings them closer to the professional activities that are already carried out in the workplace.
