Abstract

Introduction

In recent times, Covid 19 infection has been the biggest problem worldwide, leaving deaths and several consequences, such as difficulty in ventilatory capacity, acute lung damage, bronchiolar loss, accumulation of secretions, which makes it difficult to exchange oxygen due to increased of resistance, characterizing the redistribution of flow to regulate the negative phase of respiration.

Methodology

A bibliographic search was carried out in PubMed and SciELO between January and February 2024, using descriptors related to COVID-19. Original articles, review articles, epidemiological articles, clinical trials and meta-analysis were selected from 2008 to 2024. The objective was to collect relevant information about COVID-19, including "Expiratory Secretions, SARS-CoV-2, Postcovid, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiorespiratory Treatment, Therapy Respiratory, Artificial Respiration and Organic Dysfunction.

Discussion

Using techniques that favor expiration, flow redistribution with open glottis, with a period of relaxed and controlled diaphragmatic breathing, generating the mobilization of secretions from the distal to proximal airways, favoring expiration by regulating volumes, in addition to mobilizing secretions, because During the expiratory phase there is compression of the airways that shifts the point of equal pressure in a proximal direction, towards the mouth. This compressive action facilitates the displacement of secretions, acting to reduce hypercapnia, favoring the patient's evolution.
