As costs are involved in every stage of the publication process, from administrating peer review to copy-editing and hosting the final article on dedicated servers, authores are aware that they have to pay an article processing charge (APC) in order to publish an open access article under a Creative Commons license.

For the Journal of Latin American Sciences and Culture the APC US$600/£460/€530. Waivers for APCs can be requested by all authors regardless of background and will be appraised by the Publisher and the Editors based on individual circumstances and the ability to pay.
