Mejorando la alfabetización científica y climática en América Latina y el Caribe

La reunión intercontinental sobre alfabetización científica 2024 reunió a expertos, educadores y formuladores de políticas para discutir el panorama cambiante de la alfabetización científica y climática en América Latina y el Caribe. Este documento sintetiza las ideas compartidas en la conferencia y tiene como objetivo servir como un recurso para promover medidas de alfabetización científica. Los temas clave incluyen el impacto de la transformación digital en la educación, la integración de la alfabetización climática en los planes de estudio escolares, la importancia de la pertinencia cultural y los desafíos de la accesibilidad y la desinformación. También se destacan las oportunidades para mejorar la alfabetización científica a través de redes de colaboración, participación pública y políticas de apoyo. El libro blanco presenta estrategias para integrar herramientas digitales, promover la inclusión y promover el aprendizaje permanente. Estas recomendaciones se integrarán en el desarrollo en curso de la Declaración sobre alfabetización científica y climática, publicada inicialmente en 2021 por los Países de la Ruta Andina para la Ciencia y la Tecnología y sus colaboradores.
