Proposal of program to develop coping capabilities in parents with children in the autistic spectrum

The work was aimed at parents with children with ASD, whose purpose was to provide strategies more adaptive coping because the effects that this disorder causes affect the family where the parents are the most affected by generating the appearance of problems emotional, psychological and social dueto inadequately coping with respondents. The program proposal based on a cognitive behavioral approach that aims to change the negative assessment of the situation by the parents through cognitive restructuring was performed. To achieve this development program a series of divided into modules
activities whose purpose is to provide information about the disorder, teach manage maladaptive behaviors characteristic of autism, achieve greater acceptance by parents and the family share the responsibility of the affected child with the parent.
