The academic peers that participate in the review process are academics with a master's degree, doctorate and postdoctoral degrees, mostly external to Universidad del Valle and who were selected for their specialty in certain areas of law. The procedure to carry out the evaluation can last approximately 2 months, following these steps: 1. The author(s) send their work to the journal. 2. The Editorial Committee will carry out a first filter of the articles received in which they verify the formal aspects, such as: a. The relevance of the topic. b. Compliance with filing requirements and, c. The originality of the text through the Turnitin anti-plagiarism platform. Once these steps have been completed and if the manuscript meets the first requirements, the procedure continues: 3. The Editorial Committee will designate two specialist peer reviewers who, depending on their knowledge, may be nationals or foreigners, who will carry out the academic evaluation using the double-blind modality. 4. After the review process, the peer reviewers will issue a decision based on three approaches to the manuscript: a. Approved for publication; b. not approved or c. Approved with modifications. In the latter case, the evaluators will clearly indicate the adjustments that must be made to the manuscript. In this case, the manuscript will be returned to the author(s) so that they can learn about the suggestions made by the peers and can make the suggested corrections and/or adjustments, granting a period of 10 days from the electronic notification. 5. Once the corrections have been received by the author, they will be sent to the peer reviewers who must determine if the article is Approved or Not approved for publication with the adjustments made. 6.
