Never befare, democratic societies have needed a different journalism and journalists more involved with the social dynamics; critica! journalists to establish an alternative news agenda and not to volunteer for the misinformative game of the government, which is trying to cantuse audiences changing the informative axis as they want, with the intention to divert public attention from the issues of national concern. Therefore, this paper develops an analysis on the state of journalism in Bolivia under the transformations that are occurring in the milieu: audience transformation, insertion of new technologies, journalistic democracy crimes and the need to change journalism from university training to make a contribution to the Solivian society of the XXI century.
