Financial analysis of a leading company in the global sports footwear industry. Case: Virtual simulation of Business Game

The present research work is developed in the environment of the world sports footwear industry. The sports footwear industry worldwide is very competitive. The company Champions Shoes, with 10 years in the market, competed with four other companies in a virtual environment with a
highly recognized management tool such as the Business Game Simulatoror BSG. This simulator allows the managers of each company to develop and apply winning strategies in a competitive world market with real characteristics. The company Champions Shoes made a strategic design that allowed it to achieve important competitive advantages with satisfactory results as it managed to become the best company in the sports footwear industry worldwide, also fulfilling the requirements of investors as: earnings per share common, return on social capital, credit rating, image qualification and share price. With the information generated by the Business Game, a financia[ diagnosis has been made using the tools provided by the financial
statements, under the responsibility of the Financia[ Management of the company Champions Shoes. The analysis conducted has shown that the company has good liquidity, debt capacity, sales vol u me with good profitability, efficiency in the use of its assets, good return on investment in assets and shareholder capital, among other indicators; positioning the company in a good economic and financia[ situation to take on new business challenges in the coming years.
