A gaze at the advances in the implementation of ICT in Bolivian education

The present reflexive article presents an analysis of the research made by Eduardo Paz Gonzales, published this May, under the title: lnformation and Communication Technologies (ICT) and education, aimed to achieve an approach to the situation of the use of ICT in education in Bolivia and from it, a reflection of the way we have to go yet. The summary of the main findings is presented in the first part, highlighting the most significant in the three sections: a) ICT infrastructure for education; b) Uses of ICT in education; c) Sociological problematization of ICT knowledge production. lt is concluded that, despite having a significant progress in the efforts of the State to reduce the digital divide, there is still a long way to go for Bolivian students to take advantage of ICTs in their education and also understands that in the implementation of ICTs is needed sorne work of three fundamental aspects: access to technology, provision of the necessary resources and, above ali, a change of attitude among the actors. Finally, a proposal far the implementation is made in stages, indicating specific resources that can be used in each one.
