Management Skills Needed to Achieve Success Stories in Bolivia.

The carried-out research carried was based on the managerial skills that Bolivian entrepreneurs possess in different levels and that allowed them to transcend the history of Bolivia, achieving their companies’ sustainability over time. The analysis was based on the Burt Nanus management megaabilities model, from which the study tool was obtained and applied to 20 companies that have 10 or more years of subsistence in La Paz market.
The companies that participated were: Transporte VyV S. R. L .; Impastas S.A .; Inoba imports; Soalpro; Atena Institute; Espacios del Oriente S.A .; Dulcifarma S.R.L .; Delizia; Super Ticket; Toyosa; Radio Taxi Gold; Calzart Bolivia; Fundación Infocal Constructora 54; Sofia; Dumbo's; Delta Laboratory; Yanbal; Ketal supermarkets; and Entel S.A.
The methodology used was qualitative and descriptive, the research instrument used was the structured interview based on the theory provided by various authors. The results obtained were expressed in ranks, low, medium and high regarding the skills that were deduced from the primary information collected and the analysis of the 3 questions that made up each segment.
As a result, it was obtained that the tenure levels of mega-skills of successful entrepreneurs in our environment are: 1) Future vision, high level; 2) Mastery of change, high level; 3) Organization design, medium level; 4) Early learning, high level; 5) Initiative, medium level; 6) Mastery of interdependence, low level; and 7) High levels of integrity, high level.
It was concluded that it is essential to strengthen the training of current and future entrepreneurs with regard to managerial mega-skills, since they are necessary capacities to achieve successful companies that survive over time.
