Abstract

This project was based on telemetry system design and implementation for communication and monitoring of energy meters, using the MODBUS/TCP protocol, locally and remotely. Through this Visual Studio programmed interface, the user can monitor and can also add, edit and remove energy meters and can be connected to the same network. Using the MODBUS/TCP protocol, the computer or computers that are within the same network can be managed from the connection moment automatically made to the server. The server will start receiving and storing the acquired data, using MySQL as a database manager. The software also has the option of Monitoring, allowing the user to observe the tables with the data acquired from the different parameters that have the energy meter, in addition to plot these stored data. The methodological design used was: explanatory research and the experimental method, with which it could meet all the specific objectives and thus to meet the overall objective.
