Center for Early Diagnosis of Cancer in the City of Sucre

This project has been raised in response to the problem of cancer, which is now considered as the second cause of death worldwide. Formulating policies, strategies and programs for early diagnosis and subsequent treatment , with the aim of reducing mortality. In Bolivia patients are unaware of the disease and how it can be fatal if not attended on time. As the first level of care is covered effectively,patient will attend this first review, to prevent disease and death. In Sucre, the Cancer lnstitute works " Cupertino Arteaga ", part of the University of San Francisco Xavier, in units of "Santa Barbara" Hospital, in the third courtyard, the main rooms are expansions and renovations carried out based on a built structure, facing the challenge of caring for patients suffering from this disease, where efforts are focused to practica oncology within the standards of efficiency and effectiveness, also allowing preventiva medicine.
