RESUMEN
El mantenimiento es esencial en cualquier organización o empresa, ya que
desempeña un papel crucial en la preservación y optimización de sus activos.
Al mantener adecuadamente maquinaria, equipos, instalaciones y otros
recursos, se asegura su funcionamiento eciente y prolongado a lo largo del
tiempo. Este documento presenta un estudio sobre el diseño de un Sistema de
Gestión de Mantenimiento (SGM) basado en el modelo de 8 fases para una
empresa de servicios de instrumentación y control en Santa Cruz, Bolivia, la
cual actualmente realiza el mantenimiento de sus activos de manera tercerizada
y correctiva. Se analizan los elementos clave y las etapas recomendadas para
lograr una implementación de un SGM, con el objetivo de planicar, controlar
y optimizar ecientemente las actividades de mantenimiento, garantizando la
disponibilidad y conabilidad de los equipos de muy alta criticidad, reduciendo
costos operativos y maximizando la vida útil de los activos. En el documento, se
contextualiza la situación actual del mantenimiento en la empresa y se abordan
las primeras cinco fases del modelo de 8 fases, que incluyen la denición de
objetivos y responsabilidades, la jerarquización de los equipos, el análisis de
puntos débiles, el diseño de planes de mantenimiento y la programación de
estos planes. Además, se presenta la selección de un Sistema de Gestión de
Mantenimiento Computarizado (CMMS).

Maintenance is essential in any organization or company, as it plays a crucial
role in the preservation and optimization of its assets. By properly maintaining
machinery, equipment, facilities, and other resources, ecient and long-term
operation is ensured over time. This document presents a study on the design
of a Maintenance Management System (MMS) based on an 8-phase model for
an instrumentation and control services company in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, which
currently outsources and performs corrective maintenance on its assets. Key
